Letters from satisfied clients:
My first visit to Dr. Allen was because I had severe headaches from getting hit in the head at a concert. I cannot take anti-inflammatory medication so my regular physician recommended going to a chiropractor. I explained that it felt like my skull felt as if the plates were rubbing on each other. Dr. Allen made me feel comfortable by explaining what had occurred, my skull plates out of alignment. After the first visit I had far less headaches, after a few more they were gone. I continued to see Dr. Allen for maintenance until I moved out of state.
18 months ago, I called up Dr. Allen and explained that I moved back and was having some issues with ribs and overall discomfort. After adjusting the known problem spots we realized that we must be missing something. Dr. Allen sent me to get an Atlas Orthogonal (A/O) X-Ray. Even though I am a non-driver and riding the bus the Vancouver isnŐt the most appealing thought, especially during the snow storms last winter, I braved the weather and got the X-Ray. Best decision I ever made! After my first A/O adjustment, which looks a lot scarier than it is, I felt like a new person. My energy level increased and most importantly I could breathe better. I knew I had allergy induced asthma so I figured when I had difficulty breathing while riding my bike it was related to that until I went for my first long ride after the A/O adjustment. I could breathe deeper than I have in years, no problem going up hills, no stopping and resting to catch my breath. I also noticed that my spine was making minor self corrections which never occurred previously. After discussing with Dr. Allen that I noticed my breathing had become difficult again we did my second A/O adjustment with the same results as the first but less self corrections. Currently I am about 5 weeks from my last A/O adjustment and it seems to be holding well this time.
I am saddened by Dr. Allen closing his Portland office but grateful that he has found a great replacement in Dr. Cooper. For those whom may have not visited Dr. Coopers new location I strongly urge you to continue your chiropractic care with Dr. Cooper. Dr. Allen could not have found a better Doctor to continue care for his Portland patients.
Dear Dr. Allen,
Thank-you for the excellent treatment at the National Masters Track and Field Championships in Eugene last week. It helped with a complete recovery after the 5K Racewalk and enabled me to have a smooth and effortless 10K Racewalk the next day. Thank-you for being there for the athletes and for your work. I sure wish you were closer to home.
