What symptoms did the first Chiropractic patient have?

Answer:

The first chiropractic patient didn't have neck or lower back pain...he was deaf! Daniel David Palmer, the founder of Chiropractic, specifically adjusted a misaligned vertebrae in Harvey Lillard's spine, restoring Harvey's hearing that had been lost 17 years earlier when he exerted himself in a cramped, stooping position, felt something give in his back and immediately became deaf. -- Chiropractic - An Illustrated History, p. 71.
