Question:
Birds = "S" and Humans = "C"?
Answer:
This refers to the curve in the neck. Birds can almost turn their heads in a complete circle because they have an S-shaped cervical curve in their necks. Humans have a C-shaped cervical curve. Many of my patients have lost their proper cervical curve, significantly reducing their range of motion and, for instance, impairing their ability to look over their shoulders while driving.
