Dr. Rick's Monthly QuestionJune 2001
Why is the proper curve of the neck so important?
Humans have a C-shaped cervical curve to help absorb shock and allow them to move their head freely. Many of my patients have lost their proper cervical curve, significantly reducing their range of motion and, for instance, impairing their ability to look over their shoulders while driving. One of my goals for care is to help them restore the proper cervical curve, as I did with Matthew Miller.
